It really makes the air in the house smell fresh and clean. I love the smell of all the scents.
But for the true aromatherpist, these don't fly. Granted, if you wanted to give them as a gift to someone who didn't really care, the price is right. It's products like these that have given the term "aromatherapy" a bad reputation, becoming know as just "stuff that smells good" which is not what aromatherapy is about. These are not essential oils.although the impression they give is they are. These are just like air fresheners and the other things you can buy that also fall into the "not pure essential oils" category.
I do like the caps in the bottles that dispense a drop at a time - much more convenient than the old eyedroppers. It takes a lot more of these to get the same result as other oils, so being less expensive per oz. is a bit deceiving. I have used a lot of essential oils that are much better than these - but, paid a lot more for them. Overall a good product - not bad, not amazingly great. The lavender and jasmine were the weakest of all these - and not particularly "true" - seemed a little "off". This is a great little set for someone just beginning to use the oils and wanting to try some different scents - I actually liked some of the ones that would not be first picks to buy separately (lemongrass and green tea)better than the tried and true lavender or jasmine. The citrus is probably the best of all, but also the least expensive to get elsewhere.
First of all, the unit is tiny. The mister stopped working and the light died. That quickly turned to disappointment. It misted with no problems and the essential oils are very nice. I bought this and the mister on Jan 5th, 2008 and it was delivered on the11th.
I did. Go with something better, like the Homedics Breathe. On January 16th, things took a turn for the worse. Don't waste your money on this. Anyway, I always kept mine filled. I really expected something that would run longer than 4 days before it died. Not a big problem but if you're busy, you might forget about it running. Now my cute little gadget has become a pain to use.
I was excited to find this at over half the price off the Homedics Breathe and other comparable units. Now the only way to get it started was to open it up and tap the insides with a pen. it'll be here next week. it holds a little over a cup of water so you're filling it about every 4 hours. The first 2 days, it worked fine.
It almost smells like car freshener dangling from back mirror. If you are expecting aromatherapy, I recommend to pay little bit morefor pure botanical essential oils. I purchased this set with Pearlessence Spa Mist Air Therapy Fountain Mister.I thought it's too good to be true if I got 6 oils for that price.Actually, it was fair enough for the price.Though I love the concept, and I really like how the humidifier works.the oil pack didn't work for me.Each oil smells too artificial.
